Below are some locally made alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages we love to sip on and gift.

Cocktails & Spirits

  • We’ve sung the praises of this premade spritz before—SummerClub is an obvious choice for a brunch get together, beach session, or BBQ.

  • Not going to lie, we love the ease and sweetness of Koloa Hawaiian Rum Punch and the Sparkling Guava Hawaiian Rum Cocktail on a hot day.

  • The KoHana Rum Cocktail Set is one of our go-to hostess gifts. You can save a few for yourself and add one or two to a larger gift basket for a friend. The daiquiris are suuuper tart, but so good over lots of ice. (You can also find singles or the mini set at Foodland.)

  • A bottle of Ocean Vodka makes a great gift, too.

  • If you’re a hard seltzer die-hard, try Ola Brew. Our flavor pick is the Ginger, it’s a non-fruity option with a spicy kick.

  • Hapa Vodka Coconut with pineapple juice, Hawaiian Chili Pepper in a Bloody Mary mix. Easy peasy.

  • We haven’t tried them yet, but Maui Hard Seltzer just launched canned vodka sodas in two flavors: pineapple and mango. (Let us know what you think if you’ve tried them!)

  • Kapena Li Hing Tequila for the margarita lovers.

Non-alcoholic

  • Probiotic sodas are all the rage right now, and Pauwela Beverage Co. has three flavor options with a tropical twist (Lilikoi Rootbeer, Hibiscus Ginger Ale, and Lychee Cola). They’re also sugar and caffeine-free, and have the cutest can designs. Yes, we sometimes buy things for aesthetic reasons…

  • Pono Potions has a variety of multipurpose flavored syrups (in coffee! in sparkling water! with vodka!). We especially like the Waialua Honey Ginger.

  • Harders Hawaii Sparkling Waters. So good on their own or as mixers.

  • We recently stumbled upon HIdrate Electrolytes, dreamt up by an athlete from Hawaii Island and it comes in lilikoi, li hing lemon, and POG flavors. We need to try ASAP.

  • Kolea Hop Water is hop-infused, without the booze. Citrusy, piney notes with a tropical vibe.
