End of Summer Shopping & Giving

Here's how and where to get the goods and give back.

Aloha friend,

It should come as no surprise that sales put us in a shoppy mood (when are we not?), so we’re sharing some end of summer sales and what we’ve got our eye on. Plus, we’re sharing a few ways to give back to the community and some fun events.

Oh, and please contact your congress members to ban assault weapons. It takes 10 seconds. Our keiki deserve better.

Be well,
The Edit Hawaii team

SALES YOU NEED TO KNOW

  • September is all about giving at Foodland. Give Aloha is the company’s annual community matching gifts program, where customers are encouraged to donate to their favorite participating local nonprofit organization at checkout. Foodland will match a portion of each gift made by enrolled Maikai members. Or, you can purchase a limited-edition lei-inspired merch by artist Suzanne Jennerich.

  • After a 6-year hiatus, Hawaii Potters’ Guild is inviting the community to support local artists, chefs, and the fight against hunger at Empty Bowl Hawaii. Shop beautiful handmade pottery and savor dishes from eateries like Istanbul Hawaii, The Local General Store, PAI, Vintage Books, and more. Proceeds from the event directly support strengthening Hawaii’s food system through Chef Hui’s Feed the People Hawaii initiative. Get the inside scoop from HONOLULU Magazine

  • Speaking of giving, we just saw a Go Fund Me for ‘Ili ‘Ili Cash & Carry’s beloved chef.
