Hale Mahj Vintage Hawaii Tiles

Mahjong addicts, keep your eye out for Oahu-based Hale Mahj’s launch of Hawaii-inspired tiles and mats this month (we’re told October 15 is the hopeful date!). We’re especially excited about the Vintage Hawaii Tiles, though those will launch in November. Oahu friends, find details on Bad Luck Club’s Mahjong night below.

FOOD & DRINK NEWS

The cult-favorite coffee shop in Wainiha, The Haven, is opening another location in Kapaa very soon. Owner Emmalani Lloyd says it’ll be like a “brother” to the OG Haven. Stay tuned. (In case you missed it, here are more ways to shop and support Kauai businesses.)

In Kailua (320 Kuulei Rd.), Little Pickle opens with craft hot dogs (no nitrates/nitrites, no hormones, no antibiotics, all-beef, pasture-raised), breakfast sandwiches and, of course, pickles.

Yours Truly at AC Hotel Honolulu introduced its Halloween-themed food, drinks, and spooky atmosphere with Dead Letter Office.

This October, you can sip for a cause at Tikehau Lounge. When you order an Ultra Violet 75, $2 goes to Kokua 4 A Cause, which supports breast health and colon cancer screening on Maui. Maui Wine is also donating 20% of proceeds from its featured menu of food and drink specials.

Side Street Inn is now open in the old Westman Cafe/Bills Waikiki location, and Paradise Ciders is back townside.
