This Saturday, more than 100 tastemakers wandered into Waikiki for OluKai's invite-only event to celebrate the grand opening of the new Nordstrom flagship store at Ala Moana Center. The party also served as the first look at the SurfJack Hotel & Swim Club. Honolulu's hippest littered the pool area sipping signature cocktails and Kona brews while enjoying the energetic beats spun on vinyl by DJ group Aloha Got Soul. The guest list included Oahu-based designers Amanda Watkins and Matt Bruening, singer/songwriter Kimie Miner, stylist Crystal Pancipanci, blogger Lindsey Higa (aka Pineapple Ice) and photographer Brooke Dombroski, to name just a few. Also spotted was chef Ed Kenney, whose fourth eatery, Mahina & Sun's, is opening inside Surfjack. This cool collaboration also included POW! WOW!'s Kamea Hadar, who created quite a buzz by engraving gifted stainless steel cups featuring OluKai's message: #anywherealoha.
