HONOLULU NIGHT MARKET'S FIRST RUNWAY SHOW OF 2015
A few weeks ago Honolulu Night Market kicked off the new year with a focus on new beginnings and clean slates. Stylist Rance China took this "Refresh" theme and ran with it (in neon-colored sneakers, no less). The monochromatic looks were super sleek and sporty, a trend that was seen on the Spring 2015 runways from the likes of Alexander Wang, Proenza Schouler and Versace.
To mix it up, Rance introduced subtle pops of color peeking through sheer tops and low-rise bottoms, and even in the makeup (models donned a thin bright line across the bridge of their nose).
Rance styled looks for both women and men with items from Honolulu-based boutiques and brands About the Goods, Basique Threads, Dolce, The Cut Collective (Ten Tomorrow, Allison Izu, Rumi Murakami), Vizume and We Are Iconic.
Inspired by Rance's Refresh fashion show, I've rounded up some of my must-have athletic-inspired looks from other Hawaii and national brands.
Are you a fan of the sportswear trend?
