CINCO DE BUHO AT WAIKIKI'S BUHO COCINA Y CANTINA

If you're looking for an excuse to drink tequila on a rooftop in Waikiki (because how fun does that sound?), look no further than Cinco de Buho at Buho Cocina y Cantina. On the fifth of each month from 6-10pm, this buzzy Honolulu restaurant draws a hip crowd of locals and visitors alike to indulge in food and drink specials, live music and salsa dancing. A monthly Mexican street party on a rooftop in Waikiki. I assure you it's as good as it sounds.

Chef Arturo Silva is a native of Mexico City and Búho’s menu offers familiar Mexican dishes like flautas and tacos, as well as some unique Hawaii-inspired items like Mexican Pork Lau Lau and Kauai Shrimp Enchilada. My list of must-tries include Homemade Guacamole, Mexican Street Corn, Buho's Award-Winning Ceviche and the Habanero Mexican Brownie. Of course, you might want to take advantage of Cinco de Buho's $2 tacos (also available each week for Taco Tuesday!).

For cocktails, I highly recommend the Cucumber Fresca, prepared with Casamigos Silver Tequila, fresh lime juice, jalapeno syrup and fresh cucumber. Or opt for Casamigos tequilas straight up. After all, if you're going to shoot tequila, you might as well do it with the brand started by George Clooney...
